Ken and Kaarna are preparing their lounge at the miniature fair, when Ellie comes to say hello.
Kaarna gets immediately annoyed and thinks:
- All these people… we’re not even open yet… Damn, that Ellie is even more beautiful IRL than on Instagram.
Everything is ready and it’s only a half an hour before the crowds will rush inside. Kaarna has doubts:

There’s so many amazing things here to see and experience. Nobody will
have time to knit with you! I definitely won’t! I will be exploring and
dying of envy. A hall full of talented people!
But as soon as the doors open, Venla and Tanja arrive. Since they have one fetus inside and another one outside of their bodies, Kaarna escapes!
Turns out that that Kaarna was wrong: people do have time to sit down and rest a little.
Some of Ken's friends drop by, and he also makes new friends!
This is just what he had hoped for!
Kaarna however prefers entertaining herself in the world of wonders.
Suddenly she finds herself in a saloon and is pretty sure she just saw Clint Eastwood in a poncho!
She is stunned by the craftmanship of this building and wanders upstairs, where she opens a door…
- Oops! Sorry folks! Please continue!
As if the wild west saloon wasn’t weird enough, Kaarna sees some especially strange creatures at the next bar.
She’s hungry, but only suspicious looking drinks are served and she doesn’t dare to taste them.
Who knows if that liquid itself is the reason for the interesting head shapes of these people!
Kaarna finds Huurunhovi.
The mansion is unfortunately heavily guarded and Mrs Huuru and Sister Piri are behind glass walls.
Kaarna has so much trouble staying on the other side of the glass fence!
When Kaarna returns, a man called Mikael surprises her.
This is the first time in Kaarna’s life anyone has giving her a flower!
Mikael is interested in learning to crochet, but he only manages to make a mess with the yarn.
Ken watches Kaarna and says:
- You seem to be getting more relaxed. I will now go and look at everything here, and leave you in charge of sewing circle. So you think you can handle it?
- Piece of cake, Kaarna says.
Ken only buys things that he really needs and a rake is definitely an important thing at this time of a year!
He continues the tour to the Little Corner Bookstore where Ellie works.
He also meets Damon and Olga and another girl whose name he forgets right away.
So many new people and new names to remember!
After the books store he continues to a magazine store, but can't find anything really useful.
Meanwhile at Ken's lounge Venla starts to feel really strange!
Luckily there is a paramedic on call in the event. He takes a look at the situation and assures that Venla and her baby are fine.
Venla just hasn’t drank enough water, only tea. Kaarna is not liking this at all! Kids ruin everything even if they’re not even born yet!
Kaarna admits that she’s not much of a hostess. Luckily she has brought her pillow and a blanket.
When she needs a break from all the noise and people, she crawls under the table.
At the Cafe La Teinte there are tons of extremely delicious pastries.
It’s so hot in the hall that Ken wants something cold to eat and chooses a cone of pistachio ice cream.
Ken is asked to sit on his table and gets introduced to a woman called Aida.
Simon seems to be a complex, interesting character and when he asks if Ken wants to be his Facebook friend, Ken decides to crawl back into that annoying platform of social media again.
Ken brings an ice cream for Kaarna and shows his haul. Kaarna doesn’t understand the book Ken bought:
- Only selfies? No text at all? Wtf?!
- Ellie recommended this one. It’s some sort of a year book of Dollstagram, I think.
Many of the visitors at the fair appreciate the possibility to rest on Ken's sofas.
High heels are definitely not the best choice, even for a sophisticated lady like Aino!
Ken didn’t bring the tiny 1:12 scale chair along for nothing! All sorts of tiny folks are paying a visit at.
Tiny little Vesa notices that Ken and himself look just like twins!
Some people are not even people, but everybody's welcome to knit, have a cup of tea or cocoa or just hang around.
Kaarna is afraid that the paramedic must be called back, because a well dressed tall man has been taking over the other sofa for a while now and haven't moved at all.
But when Kaarna goes to shake the guy’s shoulder, she notices that he’s snoring.
- This one is alive, she announces to Ken.

That’s Simon. Pronounced the French way! He’s been through a lot
lately, and I have a feeling that his life has been tragical. Be gentle to
him! Behind his stunning looks can live a fragile soul.
Maybe Ken’s power tea will help Simon. Apparently he had been tasting some of the purple and pink drinks of the bar next door!
All well, ends well! The sewing club was even more successful than Ken had hoped for. Simon is back on his feet and Venla’s fetus stayed inside her womb. New friendships were made and everybody is now looking forward to the next year’s Ihmeellinen Pieni Maailma - even Kaarna!
